EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS - INTERNET ONLY
LOT 613 1807 Counterstamped O . Counterstamped O on the obverse. Covered in fine roughness with an olive and steel patina. Partial legends, full date, mostly outlined devices. Not listed by Brunk.
LOT 608 1803 Brunk G-13 Counterstamped JG . Counterstamped twice on the obverse, a deeper impression of JG on the center, and a lighter impression in the right field. Light roughness on the surfaces. Olive and medium browns, other than the partial central legends affected by the stamp, the date and legends are complete.
LOT 614 1808 Counterstamped I Crescent Moon or C . Counterstamped on the obverse with I and either a crescent moon or C. The “moon” is deeply impressed, stretching the bottom of the coin out of round. Cleaned long ago and now steely olive with faded orange in some protected areas. The date is caught in the tips of the moon but readable, as are the legends. Not listed by Brunk.
LOT 609 1804 Counterstamped G.W . Counterstamped G.W. Fine microporosity covers the surfaces and there are traces of dark scale around the bust tip and near the rim at K-3 on the obverse. Bold date, other than partial central legends obscured by the stamp, the remaining legends are readable. Not listed by Brunk.
LOT 615 1809 Brunk W-26 Counterstamped F.W . Counterstamped F.W on the obverse. Dark chocolate patina with old scale in the protected areas of the reverse, and faint hairline scratches on both sides. Readable date, partial legends.
LOT 610 1804 Brunk J-128 Countertamped G.J.John . Counterstamped G.J.John on the obverse, the last half of N not making the planchet. Lightly rough, pitted surfaces with a pale olive brown patina. Weak but readable date. LOT 611 Trio of Half Cents 1804-1807 grading VG7 to VG10 . Includes 1804 C-12 Crosslet 4 without Stems R2, 1805 C-1 Small Date without Stems R2-, and 1807 C-1 R1 EDS. All are glossy brown and chocolate with smooth surfaces and nice eye appeal. Lot of 3 coins.
LOT 616 1825 C-2 R1 VF30 . Glossy light chocolate with frosty lighter brown in protected areas. Smooth and void of marks, but the lower part of the reverse is very softly struck, so badly this piece borders on being a mint error. LDS, Manley state 3.0.
