RARE THIN PLANCHET HT-70, LOW-51

yes LOT 477 (1833) Hard Times Token, Rulau HT-70, Low-51 R1 AU50 . Essentially a red & brown mint state piece but there is a scratch and tiny dig in the field right of Jackson. Lustrous chocolate and olive brown with 15% of the obverse showing mint red. A small splash of darker toning at the lower right corner of the chest is the only other mark. Struck on a very thin planchet weighing 81.3 grains, about half the weight of the regular strikes. Comes with a nice provenance. LOT 478 1841 Hard Times Token, Rulau HT-17, Low-59, R1 NGC graded AU55 . Glossy light to medium chocolate brown. Choice with light wear on the devices; a small rim nick at the R in CREDIT is the only notable mark. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. 4659374-011

LOT 480 1837 Hard Times Token, Rulau HT-194, Low 124 R1 MS60+ . Very attractive lustrous medium brown and light chocolate. A choice piece from two merchants in Portsmouth, NH. Weight 168.8 grains.

LOT 479 1837 Hard Times Token, Rulau HT-35, Low-21, R2, NGC graded F12 . Glossy light to medium chocolate brown. Smooth with minor defects including a shallow void under star 9 and a speck of verdigris under the D in DEFENCE. LDS with a strong die crack from the head through the eye and nose to star 3, then down to stars 2 & 1. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. 4659374 031

LOT 481 1861 F-525A-1e S. H. Zahm PA White Metal Store Card VF20 . Mostly charcoal grey, a couple shades lighter on some high points. There is a tiny nick on the cheek and trivial marks on the portrait and fields. Smooth surfaces on this rare White Metal Samuel H. Zahm coin dealer token. Our grade is VF20.
