yes LOT 421 1847 N-36 R5+ NGC Graded AU55 . Frosty brown and light chocolate with satiny lighter tan and olive in protected areas, especially on the reverse. There is light friction on the highpoints and a few small contact marks including a light nick high on the neck. A barely visible planchet lamination at the U in UNITED is the best identifying mark, but you need a glass to see it. There is loose dirt in protected areas on the reverse, and a proper bath could expose more of the underlying mint frost. Our grade is EF45 sharpness net EF40 . Tied for CC#2 honors with one other example behind a slightly finer example graded EF40+ in the Grellman census. A proper bath might move this one up a bit. 6855720-007

 FINEST 1847 N-37 EX NAFTZGER

yes LOT 422 1847 N-37 R1 PCGS graded MS64 Red & Brown . Frosty mint red mellowing to steel on the highpoints. About two-thirds of the bright mint color remains on the obverse while the reverse has faded considerably so only about 20% of the red remains. A spot of steel brown toning in the field right of star 3 and a tiny one between star 2 and the chin are the notable marks. MDS. Called MS63 and tied for CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #55095. Our grade is MS64, CC#1 in the Grellman census. The attribution and Naftzger Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. 37356.64/18900197

LOT 423 1847 N-37 R-2 PCGS AU58 . Glossy light chocolate brown. The notable marks are a very shallow low spot in the field under the hair bun, and another off the tip of the nose, both as struck. EDS. A very nice cent with great color and eye appeal, just a touch a rub on the high points. Our grade is AU50. 37355.58/81766024
