 SECOND FINEST 1847 N-32 EX NAFTZGER

yes LOT 417 1847 N-32 R4 PCGS graded MS65 Brown . Frosty light greenish olive with subtle overtones of light bluish steel, Traces of faded mint red remain on the obverse with 10% of the reverse showing brighter mint color. The surfaces are satiny and nearly flawless, and the eye appeal of this cent is outstanding. A tiny speck of darker brown toning midway between star 3 and the end of the nose is the best identifying mark. Sharply struck with full radial lines in all the stars. E-MDS, die state b. A die crack connects the top of the M to the dentils at either side but the crack at OF has not formed. Our grade is MS63, tied for CC#2 in the Grellman census. LOT 418 1847 N-32 R4 PCGS graded AU58 . Frosty medium steel brown and light olive with a few small peeps of mellowed mint red on both sides. Mint luster covers the fields and protected areas and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. Just a few trivial marks including a small splash of darker olive brown toning under star 4 and a small planchet flake midway between star 1 and the chin (as struck). EDS, die state a, with an uncracked reverse. There are a few shallow low spots around ONE CENT (caused by lubricant on the die, as struck). Our grade is AU55 , tied for CC#14 in the Grellman census.
