EARLY AMERICAN COPPER SOCIETY AUCTION 2025 CONDITION CENSUS 1847 N-11

yes LOT 384 1847 N-11 R4- PCGS graded MS62 Brown . Frosty medium brown and light olive with generous traces of bright mint red remaining visible on the left side of the reverse. The luster is a bit subdued by a thin layer of natural oxidation and there is some dirt in protected areas. The only marks, and they are microscopic, are a faint hairline in the field below the outer hair bun and a tiny planchet lamination at the dentils over star 10. E-MDS, die state a, with flowlines but before any rim cuds. Our grade is AU55, tied for CC#6 in the Grellman census. May grade a bit higher following a proper bath to expose the underlying luster. 1877.62/42780873
