LOT 222 1803 S-252 R-2 VG8. VG8+ but there are trivial nicks scattered on both sides, one on the rim at K-8 the most notable. There is also a rim bruise off the bust tip. Rather glossy attractive chocolate brown surfaces, darker brown in some protected areas. EDS, Breen state I.

LOT 218 1802 S-246 R-3 VG7. VG10+ but there is damage over ERT in LIBERTY and at K-3 on the obverse. There are also minor rim bumps at ED in UNITED, ES in STATES, and under the fraction. Glossy medium to dark brown surfaces with hints of deeper olive on the reverse. EDS, Breen state I.

LOT 223 1803 S-253 R-2 VG10. Semiglossy medium brown and steel brown. The notable marks are a scratch through the hair braid and another along the curl, and a nick on the bust tip and a rim bump at N in UNTIED. The surfaces a little bit dirty but otherwise glossy and smooth. MDS.

LOT 219 1803 S-248 R-4 Mumps Obv VG7. Glossy chocolate and dark brown surfaces. Only the most trivial of marks, nothing distracting or noteworthy. M-LDS, Breen state II late.

LOT 220 1803 S-248 R-4 Mumps Obv G6. VG8 but the surfaces are lightly corroded and granular with traces of verdigris in the reverse protected areas. Free of notable marks. Chocolate and dark brown on semi glossy surfaces. M-LDS, Breen state II late.

LOT 224 1803 S-254 R-1 VG10+. F12+ but there are a few rim dents including one over ER in LIBERTY, one at the lowest hair curls, and another at E in UNITED. There are also some dull nicks beneath the chin. Attractive medium brown and olive on glossy, smooth surfaces. EDS, Breen state I.

LOT 221 1803 S-249 R-2 Mumps Obv, 100/000 G4. G6 but there is a dent in the middle hair. Otherwise only minor nicks and rim bumps consistent with the grade. Glossy dark brown with lighter steel on some high points. Strong date. EDS, Breen state I.

LOT 225 1803 S-254 R-1 VG10. F12+ but there are fine scratches on both sides. Pleasing medium brown and olive on glossy, smooth surfaces. EDS, Breen state I.
