LOT 1 1793 S-3 R-4+ AMERICA Chain Cent PCGS VG Details (Env. Damage). G6 sharpness but likely buried in the ground for a time with granularity and pitting on the surfaces. There are also minor nicks scattered across the obverse and rims. Medium to dark brown and charcoal patina. The date and peripheral reverse legends are weaker but most readable in hand except parts of UNITED STATES, outlined portrait and bold chain. Our grade is AG3 . Certificate # 1341.97/20714061

1793 S-9 R-2 PCGS Genuine (Rim Damage). G5 sharpness but there is fine roughness and microporosity in some of the protected areas. There are also a couple notable digs atop TE and right of the last S in STATES, though whatever earned the “RIm Damage” qualifier by PCGS is hidden by the holder. Mottled chocolate and dark brown surfaces. Despite the minor surface issues the date is fully readable, as are most of the legends. Our grade is AG3. Certificate # 1347.98/18424664

1794 S-18b R-4 Head of 1793 G5. VF25 sharpness but the surfaces are covered in moderate porosity with a notable horizontal scratch on the reverse from below the first S in STATE over to above O in ONE. Despite the surfaces the date and legends are fully readable.

1793 S-11 R-4 ANACS F12 Details (Heavily Corroded). Fine sharpness but covered likely buried in the ground for a time and now covered with strong roughness. There is an old diagonal scratch across the obverse from the details through the hair and 3 that appears to have been there prior to getting buried. Tan and steel brown patina, despite the surfaces the date and legends are fully readable. Our grade is AG3. Certificate Number# 7646082

1794 S-19b R-4 Head of 1793 ANACS G4 Details (Corroded, Scratched). Good sharpness but covered with fine roughness and light pitting, as well as an old scratch over ONE that curves to the right wreath. There are also minor rim bruises behind the cap and over R in AMERICA. Dark olive brown patina with a partial date and legends readable in hand. Cleaned and now toned dark olive and medium browns with faint hairlines remaining across the obverse surfaces. Cleaned and now toned dark brown and maroon with faded artificial red on the portrait. There is also some damage on the rim over the first A in AMERICA. Weak at ONE CENT, otherwise readable legends and date.

1794 S-21 R-3 ANACS VG10 Details (Corroded, Scratched, Cleaned). VG sharpness but cleaned and now toned a two tone light brown and deep steel patina with microporosity and roughness on the surfaces, more so on the reverse than the obverse. There are also fine hairline scratches across the obverse portrait and fields. Bold date, full legends. Breen state II. Our grade is G4. Certificate Number# 7686482

Medium golden brown and dark browns. The central buckling on the reverse obscures ENT in CENT but the remaining legends and date are readable. Our grade is G4. Certificate Number# 7686476

LOT 16 1794 S-26 R-2 ANACS VG10 Details (Corroded). VG sharpness but covered with fine to moderate corrosion on the surfaces. The only mark is a dull scratch over RIC in AMERICA. VF25 sharpness but heavily corroded with scattered roughness and pits on either side, and harshly cleaned and now fully artificial red. The only notable mark is a dull scrape between 7 and 9. Sharp details with bold date and full legends. Breen die state II. Our grade is VG7. Certificate Number# 7686477

LOT 13 1794 S-24 R-1 Apple Cheek AG3+. A couple points sharper on the obverse, worn on the reverse. The notable marks include a scratch atop B in LIBERTY, a dog on the shoulder. and a couple more under O in OF and left of the first A in AMERICA. Tan and steel browns on glossy surfaces. Partial date, full LIBERTY.

LOT 14 1794 S-25 R-3 ANACS F12 Details (Corroded). Near fine sharpness but the surfaces are covered with fine granularity except the highest points, which are smoother. There is also old verdigris in the protected areas, but no other visible marks. Weak at F AMERI, otherwise readable date and legends. Dark olive brown patina. Our grade is G6. LOT 18 1794 S-28 R-2 G6. VG sharpness but light corrosion is visible on both sides. The are several minor marks along the rims and surfaces, consistent with the grade, with a fine scratch from the left wreath below CE in CENT and a pin prick above the leaves right of the ribbon the most notable. Glossy light to deep olive brown patina, mostly readable date and legends.

LOT 24 1794 S-30 R-1 G4. A couple points sharper but covered with light roughness on al but the highest points, which are smoother from an old cleaning. Now toned medium brown on the devices with deeper maroon and steel on the fields and protected areas. There are a couple notable rim bruises, one above O in OF and another over CA in AMERICA. There are also several old scratches on the neck, cap into the upper hair, and lower hair as well as numerous rim bruises on the obverse. Semi-glossy medium brown and maroon patina, with fully readable date and legends. Our grade is G4. Certificate Number# 7686486

LOT 25 1794 S-31 R-1 ANACS F15 Details (Corroded). Fine sharpness but corroded with fine to moderate granularity on the surfaces. The obverse is mostly deep olive with lighter streaks of golden brown, while the reverse is more of a rusty brown color with shallow, dark scale within some of the roughness. Free of marks otherwise. The only marks are a couple wispy hairline scratches from the last S in STATES down through N in ONE. Dark brown and dark olive surfaces with hints of lighter brown on some high points. LOT 23 1794 S-30 R-1 G5. VG8 sharpness but the surfaces have been smoothed with traces of microroughness remaining underneath. The notable marks include minor rim bruises under 4 in the date, over T in LIBERTY, and after the last S in STATES, as well as some faint hairlines around the first A in AMERICA. Glossy deep steel brown, bold date and LIBERTY, readable legends.

LOT 27 1794 S-32 R-2 VG7. VF25 sharpness but corroded with moderate roughness covering both sides. Glossy steely dark chocolate brown surfaces, free of notable marks. Bold date and legends, rare EDS Breen state I.

There are also old hairline scratches across the reverse, and a couple on the obverse, with a tiny rim bump right of Y in LIBERTY. Medium brown and maroon patina, the reverse was struck rotated slightly clockwise. Our grade is G5. Certificate Number# 7686484

There are also minor bruises along the upper obverse rim, a more notable one under 4 in the date, and a curved hairline scratch from the cheek through the neck into the hair. Mixed deep ruddy brown and olive with light microporosity on the surfaces. Weaker along the lower obverse and upper reverse, but still readable date and legends in hand. LOT 33 1794 S-45 R-5+ G4. F12 sharpness but there is pitting containing old verdigris scattered on the obverse. The notable marks include rim bruises before the nose, over R in AMERICA and over D in UNITED. Medium brown and olive surfaces. LI is obscured but the remaining legends are full and date is strong.

The notable marks include one rim bruise on the obverse before the nose, several around the reverse, and a cluster of old scratches at ICA that obscure the letters. VF sharpness but corroded with light to moderate roughness on the surfaces, the reverse more so than the obverse, with traces of dark scale around some peripheries. There is also a hairline scratch through Y in LIBERTY, dig along the border at 9 o’clock on the obverse, and a rim bruise at ED in UNITED. Clear date, readable legends. Our grade is VG7. LOT 47 Pair of Holed Large Cents 1794, 1796. Pair of Holed cents, one 1794 S-64 LDS F15 net 1, the other a 1796 S-99 EDS VG8+ net 1. The 1794 has heavily rolled rims, and the 1796 has been cleaned with scattered specks of verdigris, but both have readable dates and most legends.

LOT 44 1794 S-63 R-2 Fallen 4 ANACS F15 Details (Corroded). Fine sharpness but corroded with fine to moderate roughness and granularity on the surfaces. The roughness is more prominent on the central reverse and partially obscures C in CENT, the remaining legends and date are readable. Mostly dark brown, lighter on some high points. Our grade is G5. LOT 52 1794 S-67 R-3 NGC VF Details (Environmental Damage). Near VF sharpness but corroded surfaces with scattered pitting and roughness. There are also notable nicks on Liberty’s mouth and forehead, a dig on the wreath at CA in AMERICA, and a minor rim bruise at RT in LIBERTY. Dark steel brown surfaces. Bold date and legends.
