EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS
LOT 193 1801 S-224 R-1 VF35. Glossy light steel brown with underlying faded tan mellow down from faded mint color and puffs of deeper steel toning. There are traces of micro granularity in some reverse protected areas, but not enough to diminish the eye appeal. Smooth, hard surfaces otherwise. Graded VF35 net VF25 by Noyes, his photo #29103. EDS, Breen state I.
LOT 194 1801 S-224 R-1 VG10. VF20 sharpness but the surfaces are granular with verdigris on both sides giving a jade green and steel patina. There are trivial marks on the fields and devices, nothing noteworthy. MDS, Breen state II with the large rim cud over AME.
