LOT 78 1795 S-78 R-1 ANACS F12 Details (Corroded). Fine sharpness but covered with fine roughness with traces of shallow, old verdigris in some protected areas. A nick atop the forehead is the only notable mark, and there is a shallow planchet clip above IBER in LIBERTY. Steel gray and deep olive patina. Strong date, full legends. Certificate Number# 7646093

LOT 82 1796 S-84 R-3 VG7. F15 sharpness but there is a notable planchet flaw behind the cap and very light microporosity on the surfaces. A trivial tick on the rim right of the pole is the only other mark. Strong date and legends.

LOT 83 1796 S-84 R-3 ANACS F12 Details (Damaged, Scratched). Fine sharpness but there is a triangular dig on Liberty’s cheek as well as fine scratches from the details through Y and the profile, a couple on and behind the cap, and faint parallel hairlines on the neck. Dark brown and dark olive surfaces with a strong date and full legends. Our grade is G4. Certificate Number# 7686441

LOT 79 1796 S-81 R-3 G5. A few points sharper but granular and cleaned, now dark brown with bluish steel tones. There are faint hairlines on both sides. ONE CENT is weak, but otherwise strong date and legends.

LOT 80 1796 S-81 R-3 PCGS G Detail (Exc. Corrosion). VG7 sharpness but the surfaces are granular, more so on the obverse than the reverse. There are also a couple nicks on Liberty’s cheek and throat. Dark olive and steel browns. Other than CEN in CENT the legends are readable, strong date. Our grade is G4. Certificate # 1392.97/40240850

LOT 84 1796 S-84 R-3 ANACS G6 Details (Damaged). G6 sharpness but there are notable digs before the nose as well as on the reverse atop EN in CENT and over ES OF A. There is also a small scratch at K-7.5. Semi glossy dark olive brown, a few shades lighter on the devices. Struck slightly off center towards K-3. Our grade is G4. Certificate Number# 7686442

LOT 81 1796 S-83 R-4 Clipped Liberty Cap AG3. A couple points sharper but uniform granularity covers the surfaces and there is a notable dig under O in OF up to the dentils. The only other notable mark is a rim bruiseat UN in UNITED, and the planchet is also clipped right of the date. Bold date and LIBERTY. E-MDS, Breen state II early.

LOT 85 1796 S-84 R-3 G4. A few points sharper but there is micro granularity on the surfaces, mostly in the protected areas, and very light microporosity on the portrait. The only notable marks is a rim bruise over TAT in STATES. Mostly deep steel with lighter brown on some of the devices and legends. Weak at ED S in UNITED STATES, otherwise full date and legends.
