Lot 138 1794 S-65 R-1 PCGS VF30. Ruddy brown with lighter tan on the high points. There are a few old scuffs over Liberty’s eye, and traces of grainy crud built up lightly in some protected areas. Otherwise free of notable marks. 901374.30/25175050 $ 3,950

Lot 139 1794 S-66 R-5+ PCGS VF Detail (Repaired). Glossy medium brown and light olive blending to chocolate on the reverse. There are several rim bruises on both sides, the notable ones left of the cap, at TA in STATES, and IC in AMERICA. The only notable mark inside the dentils is a planchet flake under the pair of leaves at the right top of the wreath. The date is bold and the legends are strong. Smooth surfaces. Terminal die state, Breen state IV. The crack along the bottom of the pole is very strong, nearly as thick as the pole itself. There is another crack that branches off of the first crack reaching through the bust and along the truncation branching into the lower curls, and a terminal crack arcs down into the field from the brow. Lot 140 1794 S-66 R-5+ ANACS VF20 Detail (Corroded, Damaged). Has the appearance of a coin buried in the ground for a time with a deep olive patina on granular surfaces with old crud in some protected areas. There are old scratches at EN and below NT in CENT, old hairlines on the portrait, and a rim bump under 94. Sharp details with full date and legends. Breen Die State III. 7330861 $ 2,200
