Lot 104 1794 S-52 R-6- ANACS G4 Details (Corroded). Possibly buried in the ground for a time and now a mixed light to medium brown, deep olive, and ruddy brown patina with microporosity and granularity on the surfaces. Full, clear date, with about half the legends readable on the reverse. 7330860 $ 1,500

Lot 106 1794 S-54 R-3 XF40. Frosty chocolate and steel with some lighter medium brown toning at the top of OF. The only mark is a tiny nick on the cheek. Satiny luster remains visible in protected areas, especially on the reverse. E-MDS, Breen state II, with delicate die clashmarks on the reverse but none on the obverse. Excellent eye appeal. Called VF35 and tied for CC#5 in the Bland census. Lot 105 1794 S-53 R-6 PCGS G04. Deep steel and olive browns with wisps of underlying orange around the ribbon and left wreath branch under ST. The best identifying marks are a pin point dig on Liberty’s temple, and a rim bruise at 4’clock on the reverse. Fully outlined bust and wreath, sharp LIBERTY and date, and clear UNITED, ONE CENT, and fraction. Excluding the NC vareities, this is the rarest 1794 Sheldon variety after the S-37. 35621.04/37888393 $ 4,200 Ex; Chris Pretsch
