Lot 102 1794 S-52 R-6- PCGS F Details (Repaired). Deep brown with very light roughness minimized by a light burnishing leaving the surfaces rather glossy. Free of notable marks, despite the surfaces the overall appearance is decent on this rare variety. This piece is tied for 13th finest known in the Al Boka census. The obverse is glossy medium brown and light olive while the reverse is a darker shade of olive brown on the devices and lighter chocolate in protected areas. The notable marks are a dozen old, light scratches on the face into the field under TY plus a nick on the forehead and a planchet chip at the top of the C in CENT, as struck. Only the planchet chip is distracting and the overall eye appeal is decent for the grade. EDS, Breen state I, before the die crack on the obverse. The date is clear and the legends are complete except for ES-OF-AMER which are weak at best.
