Lot 49 1794 S-32 R-2 PCGS EF Details (Corrosion Remvd). Deep olive and steel brown patina with fine granularity in some fields and protected areas, as well as an area of smoothing in the right obverse field that likely earned the details distinction from PCGS. Free of notable marks. Breen Die State II with die clash marks as well as a fine die break through the first S in STATES. 901374.97/41263891 $ 4,250
Lot 50 1794 S-32 R-2 F15. Frosty light to medium brown. Ten points sharper where properly struck but the dies were not in proper axial alignment causing weakness along the right edge on both sides. The left half of both sides are smooth and choice but the weakly struck areas show many small planchet chips mixed with tiny contact marks. E-MDS, Breen state II, which usually comes with the axial alignment problem. The radial die crack through the first S in STATES is strong but the rim cud over LI in LIBERTY has not formed. Lot 51 1794 S-32 R-2 NGC VF Detail (Env. Damage Rim File). Deep steel patina with fine granularity on the surfaces. There is also a bit of filing or rub on the right obverse rim earning the Details distinction from NGC. EDS, Sharp details, full date and legends. 2632934-004 $ 780
