LOT 163 1850 C-1 R2- AU50+. Frosty tan and light brown. A spot of reddish brown toning at the 50 and a larger one at the wreath stem are the notable marks. EDS with fine doubling on stars 1-8 and on the date. Very light wear and trivial contact marks.

LOT 166 1853 C-1 R1 MS60+. Lustrous light olive and bluish steel. Satiny and attractive. The only notable marks, and they are trivial, are a hairline in the field between star 2 and the chin and a very light rim tick over the second T in STATES. LDS.

LOT 164 1851 C-1 R1 Second 1 Repunched PCGS graded MS63 RED. Lustrous bright mint red just starting to tone light steel brown on the devices, about 85% of the original mint color remaining on both sides. Just minor contact marks including some ticks on the cheek and neck, others in the field off the chin, and a dull but easily missed scrape on the D in UNITED into the adjacent ST. A speck of carbon in the field left of star 11 can help identify this piece. MDS. There is a clear double profile on the stars with lighter doubling on the nose, lips, chin, and bust. The repunching right of the base of the second 1 is clear. Our grade is MS63+ . 1226.63/40983561



LOT 165 1851 C-1 R1 Second 1 Repunched AU55. A mint state piece that was lightly cleaned. Sharply struck with no marks or other defects. EDS. All the stars have full radials and the dentils are crisp on both sides. The repunching right of the second 1 is clear.
