 CHOICE 1854 RED & BROWN

LOT 167 1854 C-1 R1+ PCGS graded MS65 Red & Brown. Lustrous light steel brown with a third of the mint red remaining, mostly on the reverse. The surfaces are satiny and very attractive. The only marks are a very light scratch low on the cheek and some microscopic planchet chips inside the wreath, as struck. MDS, Manley state 1.0, with the lump on the I in UNITED just starting to form. Our grade is MS64. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. 35330.65/36343848



LOT 168 1854 C-1 R1+ NGC graded MS62 Brown. Frosty medium brown with darker steel brown on the highpoints. A dull nick under the chin and a puff of darker toning on the leaves over the end of the wreath stem are the only notable marks. Sharply struck E-MDS, Manley state 1.0. Our grade is AU55. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. 2160534-003

LOT 169 1855 C-1 R1 MS63. Lustrous light olive and sea green. The toning is uniform and this piece has great eye appeal. Satiny and void of marks. A premium example with a nice provenance. MDS.
