LOT 683 1798 S-148 R2 Large 8, Style I Hair G5+. Slightly glossy light brown with darker olive brown in protected areas. Microscopic roughness and minor marks but overall nice for the grade. The date and legends are complete and easily readable. M-LDS, Breen state VI, with a strong cud break at ERTY.

LOT 680 1797 S-134 R4 Small Fraction G5. Glossy light olive and steel brown. The only notable mark is a small rim bruise left of the lowest curl. The date is bold and the legends on the reverse are complete with just a few weak letters. M-LDS with die cracks on the reverse.

LOT 681 1797 S-136 R3 VG8. Sharpness F15 but covered with microscopic roughness on the obverse, moderate roughness on the reverse. No marks but there are traces of fine verdigris on the reverse. The obverse is sharp; the reverse a bit weaker with softly struck areas. Medium steel. EDS.

LOT 684 1798 S-148 R2 Large 8, Style I Hair G4. Slightly sharper with some shallow pitting on both sides. No verdigris. Rim nicks at STA can identify this cent. Unevenly struck with weakness on the left side. M-LDS, Breen state VI, with a strong cud break at ERTY.

LOT 685 1798 S-153 R3 Large 8, Style I Hair G6. Slightly sharper with fine roughness in the fields and protected areas on the reverse. No verdigris and only minor contact marks including a couple small nicks near the rim left of the lower curls. Partly glossy dark olive brown and steel with lighter steel brown on the devices. The date and legends are complete and easily readable. EDS.

LOT 682 Trio of Cents, 1797-1814. Includes 1797 S-138 R1 LDS VG10 net G5 for corrosion, 1810/09 S-281 R1 Overdate 10 over 09 VG7 net G5+ for minor roughness, and 1814 S-295 R1 Plain 4 VG7 net AG3 for rim dents. All have a clear date. Lot of 3 coins.

LOT 686 1798 S-159 R3 Small 8, Style I Hair VG7. Somewhat glossy olive brown and steel. The surfaces are decent but not perfectly smooth. No verdigris, only trivial marks. MDS, Breen state III. Unevenly struck: strong on the left, weaker on the right, but everything is visible.
