LOT 395 1811/10 S-286 R3 Overdate 11 over 10 VF20 Attractive glossy steel brown blending to chocolate in protected areas. Smooth and very nice for the grade. The only notable marks are a light rim bruise at star 6 and a tiny rim nick at the U in UNITED. MDS, Breen state II, with die clashmarks on the reverse. The date is bold and the overdate feature is obvious. A very nice example of this popular overdate variety. $2,850

LOT 396 1811/10 S-286 R3 Overdate 11 over 10 G6 Sharpness F15 but corroded with traces of verdigris on the reverse. In addition there is a significant pinch on the rim at stars 9-10 and the opposing rim at ER in AMERICA. Slightly glossy dark olive and steel with reddish splashes on the reverse.
