LOT 393 1810 S-285 R2 VF35 Five points sharper but lightly cleaned long ago and the toning looks natural now. Frosty medium brown and light olive with traces of lighter brown and tan in protected areas. The only notable marks are two nicks close to star 3. MDS, Breen state II, with die clashmarks on the reverse. Smooth and attractive; a nice Classic Head cent. $3,500

LOT 394 1810 S-285 R2 VG7 A few points sharper with too many small contact marks for the higher grade. A rim bruise at CA in AMERICA is the best identifying mark. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate. MDS. The date is strong and the legends are clear. $110
