1802 NC-1 R5+ G5 Slightly sharper but burnished and retoned glossy dark chocolate brown and steel. No roughness but there are fine scratches hidden under the glossy toning plus a couple very fine scratches that are more visible off the back of the head. LDS, Breen state IV, with a strong bisecting die crack on the obverse and a fine die crack through MER. $600

LOT 334 1803 S-243 R2 Stemless Wreath, Doubled Fraction Bar VF25 Glossy medium chocolate brown and steel with a couple puffs of reddish brown toning on both sides. The surfaces are smooth and the only mark is a thin nick lose above the hair ribbon. Nicely struck EDS, Breen state I, with clashmarks but no rim cuds. The Stemless Wreath and Doubled Fraction Bar features are strong. A nice mid-grade example of this popular “Redbook” variety. $1,500
