LOT 106 1855 C-1 R1 MS63 Red & Brown NGC. Frosty tan and light olive with mellowed red covering 15% of the obverse and more than half of the reverse. Some tiny ticks but no notable marks. This piece may have been dipped long ago. MDS with lightly flowlined fields. Many of the dentils are weakly struck, as nearly always seen on this variety. A small puff of reddish steel toning at the top of the I in LIBERTY can help identify this piece. Our grade is AU58+. LOT 107 1856 C-1 R2 MS65 Brown PCGS, CAC Approved. Very attractive lustrous light bluish steel and light brown. The surfaces are satiny and the only marks are some microscopic ticks on the portrait and a couple faint vertical hairlines before the face. A small spot of lighter brown toning midway between the bust and star 1 is the best identifying mark. M-LDS, Manley state 2.0, Fuhrman state 2. LOT 108 1857 C-1 R2 MS63 Brown PCGS. Frosty light olive and bluish steel with generous traces of faded mint red showing on both sides. A faint splash of very slightly darker brown toning reaches from the tip of the chin to star 2 and there are two light nicks on the neck. Nicely struck EDS with sharp dentils around both sides. Our grade is MS63.
