Torres Half Cent Collection

LOT 79 1825 C-2 R1 MS64 Brown PCGS. Lustrous light to medium brown with areas of darker steel brown and chocolate. Sharply struck with nice eye appeal. A fine scratch over the I in LIBERTY and a few very tiny specks of soft verdigris on the obverse including one at the bottom of the 1 in the date are the notable defects. Nicely struck MDS, Manley state 2.0, Fuhrman state 3, with fine die rust (tiny lumps on the coin) on both sides and weakness on the end of the wreath stem. Our grade is MS60. LOT 80 1826 C-1 R1 MS61 Brown NGC. Frosty chocolate brown and steel with satiny luster in protected areas. Looks mint state but there is a light rub on the highest points of the devices. The only defect is a small spot of fine corrosion and verdigris at the top of the I in AMERICA. M-LDS, Manley state 4.0, Fuhrman state 3, with fine die cracks at the bust and stars 1-3. LOT 81 1826 C-2 R3+ Repunched 6, AU58 PCGS. Glossy olive brown and steel with ample amounts of frosty golden tan faded down from mint color in protected areas. Just light friction on the highpoints and a few trivial contact marks. A small, dull tick low on the neck and an even smaller tick in the field at the end of the nose are the only notable marks. MDS, Manley state 2.0, Fuhrman state 2, with a single die clashmark through the uppermost berry. The repunching on the 6 is clear. Struck with the reverse rotated 60 degrees CCW.
