1804 C-5 R4 Spiked Chin, AU55 PCGS. Frosty tan and light brown in protected areas with darker steel brown toning on the devices. No roughness, just light friction on the highpoints and minor contact marks. The notable marks are a fine diagonal scratch on the cheek, a small dig in the field under the chin, a light scratch below the 80, and another hidden along the bottom of the bust. LDS, Manley state 5.0, Fuhrman state 3, with die cracks on the reverse and obvious swelling at the top of the wreath and TES. The “Spiked Chin” feature (caused by damage to the die) is strong.
