LOT 356 1814 S-295 R-1 Plain 4 VF35. XF40 but recolored and now a deep steel with very faded iridescent red tones in some protected areas. M-LDS, with the fine die crack from the rim to the bust tip and another die crack from the rim through 8 an the lowest hair curl and star 11 to the rim. Crumbling at the throat. Smooth surfaces free of marks.
LOT 359 1814 S-295 R-1 Plain 4 F15. Dark chocolate brown and steel. There are a couple dull nicks above the portrait and another left of the central dot on the reverse. Smooth surfaces. M-LDS, the crack to the bust tip isn’t visible but the obverse crack through the 8, lowest curl, and star 11 is clear, as is the crumbling at the throat.

LOT 360 1816 N-2 R-1 PCGS UNC Details. UNC sharpness but lightly cleaned and now toned glossy chocolate and olive browns with very faded red underneath. There is a small nick left of star 9, and some wispy trivial marks in the left obverse field including pin scratch near star 2. Despite the cleaning some subtle cartwheel remains, especially on the reverse. Likely a Randall hoard specimen. Our grade is XF45. 1591.92/48964153
LOT 357 1814 S-295 R-1 Plain 4 VF25. VF30+ but there is a lamination on star 7, a line of ticks before the mouth, and pin prick mark on the upper lip. Mottled tan brown and steel browns on glossy, smooth surfaces. LDS, with the die crack from the rim to the bust tip very faint but visible, and the stronger crack from the rim through 8, the lowest curl, and star 11 to the rim clear. Crumbling at the throat. Smooth surfaces.

LOT 361 1817 N-16 R-1 15 Stars AU50. Pleasing glossy chocolate and olive browns. There are a couple of trivial rim nicks at F in OF and T in UNITED, hardly noteworthy and neither distracting. Subtle luster remains on the surfaces, particularly the reverse. MDS.
LOT 358 1814 S-295 R-1 Plain 4 VF20. XF40 sharpness but there are traces of corrosion and verdigris at stars 3 and 6-7, UNITED, and AMERICA, as well as scratches on both sides. The most notable are above the portrait, over RICA to below the wreath, and faint hairlines on the portrait. Cleaned and now toned mostly olive and steel with magenta tones in the protected areas. LDS, with the light die crack from the rim to the bust tip, and another from the rim through 8, the lowest hair curl and star 11 to the rim. Crumbling at the throat.
