Terry Denman Collection of Middle Dates Part 1

THE TERRY DENMAN COLLECTION THE NORWEB N-4

LOT 146 1827 N-4 R2 PCGS graded MS64 Brown, CAC Approved . Frosty light to medium steel brown with generous traces of mint red remaining visible in protected areas on both sides. Satiny and very attractive, virtually flawless. The best identifying marks are a microscopic tick on the jawline over the throat and a faint scuff right of the tick. Both marks are invisible to the unaided eye. M-LDS, die state b early, with some crumbling in the dentils at the bottom of the reverse. Graded MS65 and CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #29565. Our grade is MS63. Another very nice cent, and it comes with an equally nice provenance. 36847.64/30821480 Ex Milton A. LOT 147 1827 N-5 R2 NGC graded MS63 Brown . Lustrous light greenish olive and steel brown with overtones of light bluish steel on the reverse. Very attractive with mint state eye appeal, but a glass reveals a light touch of rub on the very highest points of the devices. A small spot of lighter brown toning at the upper point of star 13 and a couple microscopic pinpricks close above the nostril can help identify this cent. M-LDS, die state c, with a die crack from the lowest curl down to the dentils below star 13. Graded MS60 by Bland. Noyes says MS60 and tied for CC#3, his photo #23206. Our grade is AU58+, very close to MS60. 3728348-008
