Terry Denman Collection of Middle Dates Part 1

EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

LOT 41 1817 N-15 R4- VF30 . Frosty olive and darker steel brown. Smooth with light wear and traces of luster in protected areas. Essentially void of marks; a tiny tick midway between the hair and star 6 is the best identifying mark. LDS, die state b, with flowlined fields and less than half the dentils remaining on the reverse.

LOT 42 1817 N-16 R1 15-Star Obverse, PCGS graded AU58, CAC Approved . Frosty light to medium brown and light olive with traces of reddish tan faded down from mint color in a few protected places. An attractive cent with light friction on the highpoints and smooth surfaces. Just a few minor marks including a tiny tick off the upper left point of star 12 and another over the T in CENT. A subtle puff of reddish tan toning under AT in STATES is a good identifying mark. EDS, die state a, without the usually seen cud break over AM. The small dash from the right top of the F in OF is clear. The buns and the opposing leaves under CA in AMERICA are softly struck (as often seen on this variety) but everything else is sharp. Noyes photo #61061. Our grade is AU50+. 36598.58/38364822
