LOT 426 1851 N-25 R3- NGC graded MS61 Brown. Frosty reddish brown and olive. Sharply struck with crisp details. Just a light touch of friction on the highpoints and minor defects. A tiny planchet lamination over star 1, a spot of dark planchet slag at the left top of the O in OF, and a tiny rim nick at star 6 are the notable defects. Scarce EDS, die state a, with sharp points down from the throat. Our grade is EF45+. Comes with a nice provenance. 4427906-023 Ex Daytona Beach Show 1/1993-J. R. Grellman 10/1995-R. S. LOT 428 Pair of Cents, 1851 & 1852, both Scarce Varieties. Includes 1851 N-27 R4 M-LDS, die state c VF20; and 1852 N-21 R4 EDS, die state a VF25. Both are attractive glossy brown and chocolate. Lot of 2 coins.

LOT 427 1851 N-26 R4+ PCGS graded MS64 Brown. Lustrous light olive and bluish steel brown with 10 15% of the mellowed mint red remaining visible, mostly on the reverse. Choice except for a faint hairline between the 5 & 1 and a spot hidden on the leaf over the right side of the E in ONE. LDS, die state c. The earlier points from the main curl are gone and the fields are flowlined. Our grade is MS62, tied for CC#6 in the Grellman census. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. 406731.64/34176894
