LOT 224 1808 S-278 R-3 PCGS AU55 CAC Approved. Glossy medium steel brown and light chocolate with a streak of slightly darker toning from star y down to 0 in the date. Traces of frosty lighter steel brown and golden tan toning show in the protected areas, particularly on the obverse. The best identifying marks are a horizontal nick under the bust tip and a tiny diagonal nick on the nostril. Mint luster covers the fields and protected on both sides, excellent eye appeal. V-LDS, Breen State VII, the dies are heavily worn and a strong rim cud shows at stars 5 & 6. Struck slightly off center to K-3. Our grade is AU 50 . LOT 227 1810/09 S-281 R1 Overdate 10 over 09 VG8. Sharpness VF25 but corroded. Slightly glossy dark olive brown and steel. No verdigris or contact marks. Sharply struck EDS. The overdate feature is clear.

LOT 228 1810/09 S-281 R-1 PCGS XF40 CAC Approved. Medium brown with traces of golden luster around some of the stars, the reverse is glossy lighter brown with some subdued golden luster in the protected areas. The identifying marks include a tiny tic in the field before Liberty’s bust and another on star 4. The overdate feature is sharp. Our EAC grade is VF35. 1552.40/03584251
