LOT 183 1800 S-198 R5+ PCGS Good Details, Environmental Damage. Rather glossy dark chocolate brown with lighter steel brown on the highpoints. Mostly smooth but a glass reveals fine roughness and specks of verdigris in the fields and protected areas. The date is strong for the grade and the legends are readable but weak on the reverse. Our grade is net AG3. The attribution is noted on the PCGS Label. 36182.97/46549597

LOT 186 Pair of 1801 Cents. Includes S-213 R2 G4 net AG3 for a dent, and S-222 R1 VG7 net G4 for granularity and cleaning. Both have a clear date. Lot of 2 coins.

LOT 184 1800 S-208 R3 VF25. Sharpness EF40 or slightly better but the reverse is covered with fine roughness, strongest at the lower right of the reverse. There are a few faint hairline scratches on the bust into the field above, a linear planchet void on the throat, and a blob of verdigris or crud at the dentils left of the hair ribbon. The obverse is glossy brown and light chocolate with darker olive brown and steel at LIBERTY and along the dentils to the left. The reverse is a mix of glossy dark olive brown with some lighter brown and chocolate at the upper right. E-MDS, Breen state II, with a partial cud break at TY and a narrow rim cud opposite the mouth (Breen has his state IV cud out of order). A sharp example of a neat die state.

LOT 187 1801 S-215 R4+ ANACS graded VG8. Glossy light to medium chocolate brown and steel. Smooth with trivial marks, just worn. M-LDS, Breen state V, with die cracks on both sides, severe swelling on the lower left of the obverse, and deep die clashmarks on the upper part of the reverse. These dies had failed badly. Our grade is VG7. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. 7464377
