TNA HOF Collection Pt 1

LOT 1281 1849 N-11 R1 Repunched 1 AU50. Glossy medium brown and olive with slightly darker toning on the face and neck. The only mark is a tiny tick close off the end of the nose. M-LDS, die state c, with a strong rim cud from the end of the wreath ribbon to over the right top of the U. The repunching under the right foot of the 1 is dull but visible. CC#8 for the die state in the Grellman census.

LOT 1282 1849 N-11 R1 Repunched 1 EF45. Sharpness close to AU50 but there is a light rim bump at star 4 and a spot of corrosion at the rim over the second A in AMERICA. Otherwise smooth and attractive with light wear and trivial marks. Glossy medium chocolate brown. TDS, die state g, with a series of rim cuds from below the wreath stem to the U, and the cuds are strong. The repunching under the right foot of the 1 is weak but visible. Tied for CC#7 of the die state in the Grellman census. 

LOT 1283 1849 N-12 R2 AU58. Lustrous medium steel brown with lighter steel brown in protected areas. Satiny and very attractive with sharp devices and mint state eye appeal. No marks or planchet flaws, just microscopic traces of dirt in protected areas on the reverse. EDS, die state a. The die lines over UN are sharp.

LOT 1284 1849 N-12 R2 EF40. Ten points sharper with several reddish brown stains on both sides, and a few of them contain traces of microscopic verdigris. Otherwise the toning is glossy light olive and brown. Minor marks including a small planchet flake on the rim at the M in AMERICA. MDS, die state b. The reverse was freshly lapped and those fields are covered with fine, nearly vertical die polishing lines.
