EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

LOT 221 Quartet of 1831 Cents. Includes N-3 R1 Medium Letters VG10, N-6 R1 Large Letters AG3, N-8 R3 Large Letters G5, and N-11 R2 Terminal Die State with a cud break at TES G5. A couple are slightly sharper with defects but all are glossy brown and chocolate. Lot of 4 coins.

LOT 222 Trio of 1831 Cents, All Scarce Die States. Includes N-4 R3 Medium Letters VG8, N-5 R4 Medium Letters VG8, and N-14 R4 Large Letters VG10 with a clear double profile from the forehead down to the chin. All are glossy brown and chocolate with smooth surfaces. Lot of 3 coins.

LOT 223 1831 N-5 R4 Medium Letters VF25. Mostly glossy medium brown blending to olive and reddish chocolate brown in protected areas. A couple tiny nicks in the field before the profile and a small chip right of the eye are the notable marks. MDS. The reverse is rotated 15 degrees clockwise.

LOT 225 1831 N-7 R1 Large Letters VF30. Ten points sharper but there are a few scratches on both sides including one low on the neck. Otherwise quite nice with excellent eye appeal. Frosty light to medium chocolate brown. MDS, Grellman state a late, with fine flowlines but no crumbling in the right notch of the R in AMERICA.

LOT 224 1831 N-5 R4 Medium Letters VF20+. Glossy light olive and steel brown. Frosty flowline luster covers the protected areas on the reverse and this cent has great eye appeal for the grade. Just minor contact marks including a couple small nicks on the neck. MDS. Comes with a nice provenance.
