1800 S-201 R4+ G6+ Sharpness overall near F12, especially on the reverse where the sharpness is considerably better, but the planchet is lightly corroded and there are specks of raised verdigris on the reverse. A dull nick over the M in AMERICA is the only significant contact mark. Dull dark olive brown and steel. MDS with a strong die crack from the rim down through the right side of the E in AMERICA plus obvious swelling at ST into the leaves under TED. The date is strong and the legends not affected by the swelling are bold. $300

LOT 276 1800 S-202 R4+ VG7 Perhaps a point or two sharper, especially on the reverse, but covered with fine roughness under slightly glossy dark steel and olive brown toning. The only marks are a rim bruise left of the L in LIBERTY and a smaller one over the E in STATES. E-MDS, Breen state II, with subtle swelling at D-STA.
