1800 S-197 R1 Fair-2 Sharper but covered with fine roughness and there is a deep dent across the head that created a bulge on the reverse. Dull dark steel brown and chocolate. The date is clear and the legends are easily readable. $50

LOT 270

1800 S-198 R5+ G5 Glossy chocolate brown with lighter brown toning on the highpoints. Smooth with decent surfaces for the grade, just worn. A small pinprick close over the hair ribbon may help identify this cent. MDS, Breen state III, with a strong die crack through CA. The die line or break up from the top of the 1 in the denominator is weak but visible and the date is clear. $700
