1798 S-187 R1 Small 8, Style II Hair VF30 Sharpness EF45 but dark with extremely fine granularity covering the planchet, strongest on the reverse. The obverse has nice eye appeal. No verdigris and the only mark is a thin nick on the rim at K-10 on the obverse. Rather frosty dark olive brown and steel. MDS, Breen state IV, with a retained cud break at the dentils before the nose and a die crack just right of the denominator. Struck with the reverse rotated 20 degrees CCW. Comes with a nice provenance. $2,250
