Lot 16 1808 S-278 R-3 PCGS VF35. Mostly steel brown obverse with puffs of lighter brown underneath in some fields and protected areas, the reverse a few shades lighter with more of the lighter brown showing. Only the most trivial of marks, the best identifying includes a curved pin scratch through the shoulder and a couple specks of old crud at E in ONE and the berries under the first A in AMERICA. The obverse is medium brown and olive with splashes of maroon on the neck and below the bust tip. The reverse mottled steel and copper brown with a puff of crimson at the stem. There is a diagonal hairline scratch from below EN in CENT through the bar and wreath, otherwise only trivial marks. Smooth surfaces. LDS.
