Lot 1 1808 S-277 R-2 Counterfeit AG3. 5 points sharper but covered with fine roughness and old damage in the form of scuffs and dull scratches on both sides. Lot 2 1808 S-277 R-2 PCGS AU Detail (Tooled). AU sharpness but cleaned and now toned mostly dark olive brown with hints of faded orange in some obverse protected areas. There are also traces of microporosity on the surfaces that have been minimized by the cleaning, possibly earning the Tooled distinction by PCGS. There are a trio of minor digs before the nose, a small rim bruise at the last A in AMERICA, and a few other trivial marks scattered in the fields. Smooth, hard surfaces.
