Lot 34 1809 S-280 R-1 VG7+. Medium to dark browns with a couple splashes of lighter brown on the reverse. The revere is also a few points sharper than the obverse. The best identifying mark is a nick over E in UNITED. LDS, Breen state VIII, Smith state 8. $ 325

Lot 35 1810/09 S-281 R-1 VF20. XF40 sharpness but there are several scratches and digs on the obverse devices. Medium chocolate brown with hints of olive and puffs of deeper steel at stars 5-7 and 9, as well as along the lower reverse. Smooth surfaces. There are a few trivial ticks on the jawline near the top of the neck, and before the nose. Smooth surfaces with hints of mint frost in some protected areas. There is a shallow planchet clip over K-10 on the obverse that only affects the dentils. MDS, Breen state III, Smith state 3.
