EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS
LOT 291 1821 N-2 R1 ANACS graded VF25 . Attractive glossy chocolate brown and steel with some frosty lighter brown in protected areas. Smooth and nearly void of marks. A tiny tick over the bust tip is the best identifying mark. E-MDS, Grellman state b. The die line off the bust does not connect to the bust but the rest of the line is clear. Our grade is VF25+. LOT 294 1822 N-2 R3 ANACS graded AU53 Details, Corroded . Frosty tan faded down from mint color with a few small spots of very fine carbon in protected areas. The copper is intact in those darker spots, not invaded by corrosion. The spot at star 12 is the worst of the group. This cent deserves a proper brushing. A speck of verdigris in the field under star 8 is the best identifying mark. E-MDS, Grellman state b. The fields show faint radial flowlines and the die line between the bases of the S & adjacent O is clear. Our grade is EF45 sharpness net EF40 . The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. LOT 292 1822 N-1 R3 EF40 . Sharpness close to mint state but lightly whizzed and retoned light golden brown and tan. Just a few trivial marks including a small puff of darker brown toning between star 4 and the nose. EDS with smooth fields and no evidence of die rust on the reverse. An attractive cent in spite of the old cleaning.
LOT 295 1822 N-9 R5- G4 . Much sharper but badly corroded with traces of shallow verdigris in some protected areas. A couple nicks on the chin are the only marks. The date and legends are clear. Slightly glossy chocolate brown. M-LDS, Grellman state c late, with a well raised retained cud break over TES.

LOT 293 1822 N-1 R3 ANACS graded VF30 Details, Corroded . Partly glossy olive brown with lighter steel brown toning on the highpoints. The obverse is mostly smooth but the reverse is covered with fine roughness. The only mark is a small nick in the field off the chin. MDS, Grellman stats b, with traces of fine die rust. Our grade is VF25 sharpness net F15. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. Certificate #7341118
LOT 296 1823 N-2 R2 ANACS graded VF30 Details, Corroded . A sharp cent but covered with moderate granularity. Dark olive brown and steel. No verdigris and the only mark is a dull nick over the C in CENT. EDS, Grellman state a, before any crumbling in the obverse dentils. Our grade is VF35 sharpness net F12. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. Certificate #7341002
