BEAUTIFUL 1896 PUERTO RICO 40 CENTAVOS

LOT 99 1896 Puerto Rico 40 Centavos ANACS graded MS60 . Sharply struck and beautifully toned light gray and bluish steel. No wear but there are minor contact marks on the obverse including a tiny nick right of the eye. The reverse is choice. There is a fine die crack that circles through the date and obverse legends. Repunching is clearly visible on the date, and the fields on the reverse are covered with fine die polishing lines. A premium example of a denomination that seldom comes in high grade.
