LOT 643 1796 Castorland Medal Demi Ecu in Silver RESTRIKE Choice Mint State . Beautifully toned and choice with sharp details and no defects. Plain edge with incuse “FRANCE” on the edge. A premium example of the restrike version made from the original dies. Listed on page 75 in the 2023 “Redbook.” Weight 221.0 grains.

LOT 644 (1930) International Sterling Company Replica of a Pine Tree Shilling, Kenny Miscellaneous #3, AU50 . Sharply struck and flawless with just a hint of rub on the highpoints. These were struck to celebrate the Massachusetts Bay Tercentenary (and to promote the business, of course). Weight 118.5 grains.

LOT 641 Group of 5 Early Coppers . Includes 2 counterfeit British halfpennies (one dated 1773 F15 and a second poor with an unreadable date), an 1834 US Half Cent F12 but damaged, an 1863 US Civil War Token NY630-AN-1a F12, and a Canadian token from P. S. Brown Importers of Hardware in Montreal counterstamped with Devins & Bolton Montreal VG. Lot of 5 pieces.

LOT 642 1739 British Halfpenny KM-566 F15 . Slightly sharper but there are traces of fine roughness and verdigris in protected areas. Mostly smooth with glossy olive brown and steel toning. The date and legends are strong. Weight 142.2 grains.

LOT 645 Quartet of Colonial Cast Copies . Includes 1737 Higley Broad Axe VG, 1652 Massachusetts Pine Tree Sixpence MS60, 1787 Immunis Columbia VF20, and a 1787 Connecticut Small Head VF35. All are well-executed copies. Lot of 4 pieces.
