LOT 564 1787 New Jersey Maris 6-D R2 F15 . The obverse is weaker while the reverse is stronger, as usual for this variety. Glossy chocolate brown and steel. Smooth with just a couple trivial contact marks. The date is weak, as always on this variety because it was lightly punched into the die, but it is readable. The legends are clear. LOT 568 1786 New Jersey Maris 18-M R1 “Bridle” Variety VF25+ . Sharpness near VF35 but covered with microscopic roughness and there is a spot of shallow verdigris at the throat.
