LOT 550 Group of Five 1788 Connecticut Coppers . Includes Miller 7-E R5 G5, a second Miller 7-E R5 that is underweight G4, Miller 11-G R2 G5, Miller 14.2-A.2 R5 G4, and Miller 16.4-L.2 R5+ AG3. Most have a readable date. Inspection recommended. Lot of 5 coins.

LOT 551 1788 Connecticut Miller 12.1-E R5 Mailed Bust Left VG10 . A few points sharper but there are fine hairline scratches lost in the rather glossy brown and chocolate toning. There are traces of shallow verdigris in a few protected areas but overall the surfaces are decent. Late die state with strong swelling at the top of the obverse and die cracks behind the portrait. The date is clear and the legends are readable. Weight 121.5 grains.

LOT 553 1788 Connecticut Miller 13-A.1 R5 Mailed Bust Left F15 . A CONNLC variety. At least 10 points sharper but covered with fine roughness, strongest on the reverse. No verdigris but there are a few shallow planchet voids on both sides. Slightly glossy dark olive brown and steel. The date is strong and the legends are easily readable. Struck with the reverse rotated 90 degrees clockwise. Weight 150.4 grains.

LOT 552 1788 Connecticut Miller 12.1-F.1 R5 Mailed Bust Left VF20 . A few points sharper with a dull dent in the field behind the portrait and a pinch on the rim below the dent. The planchet is smooth except for a diagonal fissure on the seated figure (as struck). Glossy chocolate brown and steel. The date is bold and the legends are strong with a few exceptions. A curved planchet clip is located above CO and below 17, as struck. Weight 101.3 grains.

LOT 554 1788 Connecticut Miller 14.2-A.2 R5 Draped Bust Left F12 . Glossy brown and light chocolate. The obverse has stronger details than the reverse but both sides are smooth and attractive, just worn. The only notable marks are a couple small planchet voids on the front leg of the seated figure. The date is readable but the last 2 digits are weak. Weight 132.7 grains.
