HALF CENTS

BEAUTIFUL 1793 COHEN-1

LOT 278 1793 C-1 R3+ Liberty Cap PCGS graded VF35 . Very attractive glossy medium brown and chocolate. Smooth with just a few minor marks including a diagonal nick right of the eye and a tiny planchet chip on the rim left of the L in LIBERTY. The date is bold and the legends are strong except for the usual weakness on HALF CENT. EDS, Manley state 1.0, Fuhrman 1.0. HALF CENT is complete and easily readable in spite of the strike weakness. Our grade is VF25+ Choice . A beautiful mid-grade example of this classic type. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Certification Number 35003.35/50463614

 EQUALLY ATTRACTIVE 1793 C-2

LOT 279 1793 C-2 R3 Liberty Cap PCGS graded VF35 . Glossy olive and chocolate brown with darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. Nicely struck with smooth surfaces and great eye appeal. Just a few small marks including a faint hairline from the bottom of the eye to just below the earlobe, a tiny tick or chip on the jaw, and a small nick right of the D in UNITED. There are some microscopic planchet chips (as struck) in the fields on the obverse, mostly around the date and lower curls, but it takes a strong glass to see them. EDS. Struck with the reverse rotated 45 degrees clockwise relative to the normal head-to-foot die orientation. Our grade is VF30. Another very attractive 1793 half cent. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Certification Number 35006.35/50463615
