LOT 179 1787 Connecticut Miller 33.33-Z.11 R6- DBL VG10 . Rather glossy light brown on the devices with darker chocolate in the fields and protected areas. The planchet is covered with microscopic roughness but there is no verdigris. A planchet void at CT in AUCTORI and a thin nick or void at the ear are the only notable marks. The date and legends are clear. Weight 125.9 grains.

LOT 177 1787 Connecticut Miller 33.32-Z.13 R1 DBL, PCGS graded XF45+ . The obverse is attractive glossy medium brown and light chocolate with lighter brown on the highpoints; the reverse is light golden brown with darker chocolate and mahogany on the left side. Possibly lightly cleaned on the reverse. Mostly smooth but there are microscopic planchet chips in the hair and on the opposing area at the globe. No contact marks, just light wear. Unevenly struck off center to K-7.5 with significant weakness at CON and the lower right part of the reverse. Later die state with die cracks on the obverse and obvious die wear on the reverse. Weight 122.8 grains. The attribution and Twin Leaf provenance are noted on the PCGS label. Certification Number 686332.45+/36857175

LOT 178 1787 Connecticut Miller 33.33-Z.3 R5 DBL VF25 . Very attractive glossy medium brown blending to chocolate brown in protected areas. The head and neck are softly struck as is the opposing lower half of the seated figure, but everything else is smooth and nicely detailed. The softly struck places show the usual small planchet chips. No significant planchet fissures or contact marks. Struck slightly off center to K-11 leaving the bottom of the date slightly off the planchet. Otherwise the date and legends are bold. Comparable to the Ford example that was called Extremely Fine. Weight 134.6 grains.

LOT 180 1787 Connecticut Miller 33.34-Z.3 R5+ DBL, PCGS graded VF35 . Attractive glossy light olive and medium brown blending to light chocolate in protected areas. Smooth and virtually flawless. A tiny chip out of the planchet at the edge under the shoulder is the only notable mark. A premium example, superior to the Ford, Perkins, and Taylor examples; likely a solid condition census piece. Weight 135.9 grains. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Robert M. Martin Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. (The holder is scuffed.).
