LOT 76 1787 Massachusetts Cent Ryder 2b-A, W-6040 R2 VG7+ . Glossy light chocolate brown. Smooth with trivial marks, none notable. Just a worn cent. The date and legends are clear. Weight 143.9 grains. LUSTROUS 1787 MASSACHUSETTS CENT

LOT 77 1787 Massachusetts Cent Ryder 3-G, W-6090 R3 PCGS graded MS62 Brown . Very attractive frosty medium steel brown and chocolate. Satiny mint luster covers the fields and protected areas, and very subtle hints of underlying mint color show in protected areas around the eagle. Sharply struck and virtually flawless with just a hint of rub on the very highest points of the Indian. A tiny planchet chip on the rim over the N in COMMON can help identify this cent. A premium example in every respect. Listed on page 59 in the “Redbook.” The attribution and Long Island Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. Certification Number 688947.62/47183822

SUPERIOR 1788 MASSACHUSETTS CENT RYDER 3-A

LOT 78 1788 Massachusetts Cent with Period Ryder 3-A, W-6210 R4 PCGS graded MS63 Brown . Glossy medium chocolate with frosty lighter brown in protected areas. Sharply struck with great eye appeal. The only marks are a few barely visible scuffs on the top of the bow right of the N, a very light bruise on the rim at the N in COMMON, and a fine planchet cutter line at the rim on the top of the reverse. The lines in the Indian’s tunic are sharp as are all the feathers on the eagle. Another great Massachusetts copper; a die combination that is difficult to find in grades above EF. Listed on page 59 in the “Redbook.”. Certification Number 948.63/45694130
