LOT 632 1839 N-10 R3 Booby Head VF25 . Mostly glossy mix of light and medium browns and darker olive brown. The surfaces are smooth and the only notable mark is a shallow planchet flake at the dentils above star 6. MDS. Removed from a PCGS holder graded VF35 (PCGS label #1751.35/18480968 included).
LOT 629 1839 N-7 R1 Booby Head AU50 . Frosty olive brown and steel. Smooth with a few unobtrusive marks including two small planchet flakes at the dentils left of star 4 and a small horizontal nick under the hair bun. M-LDS, Grellman state c. The die clashmarks above the O in ONE are clear.

LOT 630 1839 N-8 R1 Head of 1840 EF45 . Frosty olive and steel with sea-green overtones in the fields on the reverse. The only significant marks are a short scratch right of star 13 and another over CE in CENT. Sharply struck E-MDS, Grellman state b early. The dentils on both sides are sharp but the fine line down from the berry right of the E in ONE is gone.
LOT 633 1839 N-11 R1 Booby Head AU50 . Frosty light olive and steel brown. Smooth with very light friction on the devices. Nearly free of marks; a couple tiny nicks over star 2 and a couple dull nicks on the left side of the O in ONE are the only notable defects. None of these marks is at all distracting. LDS, Grellman state c. The two small dots right of the base of the T in CENT are gone. Removed from an NGC holder graded MS62BN (NGC label #1720920-003 included).

LOT 631 1839 N-9 R2 Silly Head AU55 . Frosty light to medium olive and steel gray. Sharp and satiny with great eye appeal. Just a light touch of friction on the highest points from mint state. A small nick on the rim right of star 12 and an even smaller one on the rim at the T in UNITED are the best identifying marks. Sharply struck M-LDS, Grellman state g, with a series of rim cuds on the obverse. The diagonal die lines from the upper left point of star 7 are dull but still visible.
LOT 634 1839 N-12 R4 Booby Head VF25 . Ten points sharper with smooth surfaces but some marks. The notable defects are a diagonal nick on the jaw, a nick under the eye, a dent on the wreath stem, and rim dents at TED. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate. MDS, Grellman state b, with a die crack through star 4 into the nose. Graded net VF25 and tied for CC#12 in the Noyes census, his photo #28353.
