Lightly worn with no defects. The die crack at UNITED STAT is strong but the other crack at MERICA has not formed.

LOT 248 1821 Overton-106 R1 VF30. Five points sharper but there are a couple light scratches: one at the throat and another across the lower part of the neck. These marks are not visible to the unaided eye and this piece has the eye appeal of a higher grade. Frosty light bluish steel and medium gray with lustrous brighter silver in some protected areas.

LOT 252 1823 Overton-104 R3 AU55. Frosty light to medium silvery steel with delicate overtones of rose, tan, and bluish steel. The surfaces are lustrous and the strike is sharp with just a hint of friction on the highest points of the devices. A glass reveals some extremely faint hairline scratches between stars 1-5 and the dentils, and there is a tiny planchet chip in the field at the throat. Struck with a bold double (and sometimes triple) profile from the nose down to the bust.

LOT 253 1823 Overton-106a R2 AU58. Lustrous bright silver with very attractive electric blue at the legends near the dentils on both sides. Looks mint state but there is a hint of friction on the highest points of the devices. No notable marks. The back of the 3 shows small lumps from die chipping and there is a very fine crack at stars 12 &13 to the lowest curl. A beautiful piece, very close to mint state.
