EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

LOT 246 1800/79 S-194 R3 Style II Hair, Overdate 80 over 79 EF45 . Glossy medium brown with mint frost in the protected areas. Sharply struck with very light wear on the devices and great eye appeal. The notable marks are a collection of very light ticks in the field near the dentils before the nose, some microscopic planchet chips over the E in CENT, and a small, inconspicuous corrosion spot nestled against the rim cud at the second A in AMERICA. M-LDS, Breen state VI, with rim cuds at the C and from the adjacent A clockwise to under the 1 in the denominator. Graded EF45 net EF40 and tied for CC#11 in the Noyes census, his photo #26177. The overdate feature (80/79) is clear.
