FRED BORCHERDT’S HALL OF FAME COLLECTION 1793-1814 CENTS

LOT 236 1798 S-186 R2 Small 8, Style II Hair VF35 . A sharp, attractive cent with just a touch of friction on the devices, but there are faint vertical hairlines in the field behind the portrait. Otherwise the only mark is a light scuff at the upper edge of the curl on the neck, and it is not easy to see. The eye appeal of this cent is quite nice. Frosty light olive and chocolate brown. M-LDS, Breen state VII, with a cud break at 00 to the rim below. Graded EF40 and CC#4 in the Bland census. Noyes says VF35 net VF25, his photo #26026.
