LOT 551 Trio of 1849 Cents grading VF30 to VF35. Includes N-11 R1 Repunched 1 MDS (a). N-12 R2 MDS (a+), and N-22 R1 LDS (c, Newcomb’s #6). All are sharper with defects but have smooth surfaces and glossy steel brown and chocolate toning. Lot of 3 coins.

LOT 554 Pair of 1849 & 1850 Cents grading EF45. Includes 1849 N-22 R1 LDS (c, Newcomb’s #6), and 1850 N-15 R2 EDS (a). Both are frosty reddish steel brown and light chocolate with smooth surfaces. Lot of 2 coins.

LOT 552 Trio of 1849 Cents grading VF25. Includes N-8 R2 Overdate 9 over 8 (or Repunched 9) M-LDS, N-23 R3 M-LDS, and N-29 R2 E-MDS. All are slightly sharper with defects and have mostly glossy chocolate and olive brown toning. Lot of 3 coins.

LOT 555 Quartet of 1849 & 1850 Cents grading VF20. Includes 1849/8 N-8 R2 Overdate 9 over 8 (or Repunched 9, 2 pieces), 1849 N-12 R2, and 1850 N-11 R3+. The second is sharper with microscopic granularity; the rest are glossy brown and chocolate with smooth surfaces. Lot of 4 coins.

LOT 553 Pair of 1849 & 1850 Cents grading EF40. Includes 1849 N-1 R4 Rare LDS (e), and 1850 N-21 R2 LDS (c with weak rim cuds on the reverse, Newcomb’s #10). Both are ten points sharper but lightly cleaned and retoned. The retoning on the first looks original; the retoning on the second is incomplete. Lot of 2 coins.
