LOT 251 1808 S-277 R-2 VG8. F15 but uniform granularity covers the surfaces. Only a couple trivial marks, including a small nick in the hair on the shoulder and a tiny pin scratch under E in CENT. Glossy chocolate and ebony patina. M-LDS.

LOT 253 1808 S-277 R-2 G5. Deep ebony and dark steel with trivial marks and pin scratches on either side, consistent with the grade. Fairly smooth, semi-glossy surfaces. E-MDS.

LOT 254 1808 S-277 R-2 P1. A “choice” Basal state with only the faintest outline of the portrait, readable ONE CENT, NITED, and TES. Despite this the VLDS with the string die break through D in UNITED up through the wreath to the last S in STATES is visible. Glossy, medium olive brown surfaces.

LOT 252 1808 S-277 R-2 VG8. Glossy dark olive brown surfaces, a couple shades lighter on the devices. Only a few trivial marks, nothing noteworthy or distracting. Smooth, hard surfaces, attractive for the grade. MDS.

LOT 255 Trio of 1808 S-277 R-2 Classic Head Cents. A trio of 1808 S-277 Classic Head cents. This includes a M-LDS graded VG7 net G5, another graded VG8 net AG3, and a M-LDS graded G6 net FR2. All have granular surfaces with scratches on the FR2, but the details are sharp with full dates.

LOT 256 1808 S-279 R-1 VG8. Deep charcoal patina, a few shades lighter on the devices and legends. There are a few minor nicks and pin scratches on the portrait and fields, no marks on the reverse. Semi-glossy surfaces. EDS.

LOT 257 1808 S-279 R-1 VG7. Cleaned long ago and now toned steely olive with hints of ruddy brown highlighting some of the devices and legends. The only marks are a few faint pin scratches on Liberty’s cheek. Strong date and legends. MDS.
